Dirt is a queer coming of age story that follows two boys of opposing ethnic groups growing up as best friends in Urumqi, China through 20+ years.
Dirt shows the strength of human connection and how that can bring people together. It also shows how that can be tested when considering factors like race politics, power, and privilege. Ultimately, what does it take to reconcile our differences?
Dirt was a finalist for the RBC Emerging Playwriting Awards (Playwrights Guild of Canada) and is a winner of the Ellen Ross Stuart Awards (Ontario Arts Foundation).
